Drivetrain Noise

For some reason when I'm heading uphill I get a strange noise almost like a humming/rubbing noise from under the car. I noticed that my mufflers do occasionally rub on the driveshaft. Is it possible that this could be the noise that I'm hearing? And why uphill? I expect the noise from that to be more high pitched. The noise that I'm hearing has a somewhat deep sound.

Maybe your gears working hard? are you in the right gear when going uphill?

Did the Noise get muffled or did it go louder?
have you had any problems with your exhuast?
Maybe any loose bolts? or cracks?

The odd part is that it didn't seem to affect it at all. I did recently have an o/r x-pipe put in but the noise was still there before that.

Could be some loose bolts so just double check all the pipes

I was wondering sometimes I forget to downshift and try and drive it at lower speeds in a higher gear...is it natural for it to make strange noises like a noise where the car needs to down shift cause its in too high of a gear? jw
