If i ever throw a rod, will i be able to just replace the rods and pistons and call it good? or will i need to replace the block? I'm leaning towards the block cuz isnt throwing a rod, it becoming disconnected from the piston and ramming itself into the cylinder walls?

depends on which way the rod goes.. if through the block.. yes you will need to replace it.
you might get lucky and have it get tossed upwards and just have to rehone the cylinder walls.

hahaha hell no... i'm just know to do that. I've done it to an old mini van and a beater 96 mustang v6.
