upr cai

I think i'm going to go with the upr cai, i was going to go bbk but the upr looks exactly the same and is aluminum instead of chrome which i like and its a lot cheaper. Anyone running one of these? And before you all say "dude you should go with a JLT!!!" i dont care, i like my strut tower brace and its really not going to make all that much more hp.

I have the BBK and when i put on my accufab i had to retighten the stupid rubber sleve from the CAI to the t/b a few times...other than that like you said its not that big a diff.

And you can make the chrome nice and shinny!

be carefull. I bought a UPR big mouth CAI from a direct distributor. They gave me a welded together cheap POS! Not like the picture at all, filter was wrong. After contacting UPR direct i was told that they basically sell a "cheap kit" with a good filter. They now import the cheap kits, take the crappy filter out, then repackage it with thier filter. I REQUESTED one that didnt have that cheap weld on the lower portion where it bends into the fenderwell.

Flows good though.

the UPR sucks terribly, its only slightly better than JLT.

if you want to keep your STB get a K&N FIPK, its the next best thing to JLT.

Oh im sure, but i spoke with UPR direct. Cant remember the name of the guy i spoke with, i still have an email i sent him. He told me exactly what i wrote in my first response. And to make it worse the first one i got shipped DIRECTLY from UPR. They had to find me one without the welded lower. They fixed the situation and sent me some stickers and t shirts.
