Would you buy a used ring and pinion?

I'm thinking about buying these used gears off this guy on corral.net. Would you personally buy used gears?

Heres the link...

His wear pattern may be different from your wear pattern. I dont think its worth the risk.

It shouldn't be a problem if they were installed correctly in his car.

Its a gamble. I put a used set in my other car once and they were fine. I've also know of some that did and the roared. Were they used with slicks (that you know of)?

why would anyone sell them then? i'm actually getting them for 125 and thats a damn good price! Why spend $220 on AM for new gears that you have to wait 500miles to drive hard when u can get some for $100 cheaper and have fun right after u get them installed?

The mechanic that installed mine told me it would be best to just get new ones. You know they have been run hard already and the only risk you run is a bad install. He also mentioned that if you don't have the wear patteren lined up exactly how it was set in the other car it will cause it to whine.

And a lot of the reason for the break in i think is for the bearings to seet, like a new motor.
