Nitrous Almost Done!

I FINALLY got all of my nitrus hardware amd plumming done this weekend. All that is left is running all the electrical wires and filling the bottle and then it's off to the dyno and then the track.

Here's a couple shots of where I mounted the solenoids and everything.

Is that the cold fusion kit that Chad (crazylegs) was selling through Stripper motorsports? The price he shot me was awesome. I am still considering it. Your install is looking nice. I would like to see where you mount your switches and bottle. Where you going to mount your purge? I have seen them just aft of the shaker and looks very cool. Going to go with 100 or 125?

Nope noe eaton s/c on here, must be somebody else. Not sure where I'm going to put the switches yet, didn't you say something about steeda or saleen having a nice kit for the cupholders to mount switches in? I put the 125 shot pills in first, when I get her to the tuners shop I'll talk with them and then we will decide wich shot is best.

Have fun...

Yeah they sell the cupholder deals at mustangtuning...That is where mine is coming from...

Looks like a nice install...

Might want to think about a fuel accumulator if you are going to stick with spray...

Nice clean install...

Oh yeah, that's the coldfusion kit from crazylegs. really a nice kit, only thing extra I may get is a 90* pipe for the nitrous line going into the intake side. It's a really tight stretch from the solenoids to the intake.

Thought about mounting it here on the fenderwell under the intake tube. Had to relocate the electrical box down lower on the fender, but the hoses wouldn't reach to this spot. I may relocate them here someday.

I've got to buy some either longer lines or a lot of 90* pipe fittings, and the guy here in orlando that sales all of the fittings that I need is out of them until sometime later in the week. This is the only shop here that sales miscelaneous nitrous parts that I know of. I checked out that switch cluster on mustang tuning, it looks nice, may order one, maybe crazylegs knows of one for a decent price also!

I actually did some of my fitting shopping at lowes...lol...

Also what kind of purge are you running?

Window Switch? WOT?

Are you going to keep the car a spray car?

I didn't know there were different kinds of purges. Just got the one I ordered frome crazylegs, haven't installed it yet. Going with a WOT switch and will have the dyno shop set up the window switch. I'll probably stick with N2O until the thing blows up, after that I don't know what I'll do with it. I actuall thought about lowes for the fittings, but I kinda want them to be painted the red and blue colors to match

Well for that paint you are paying about 10 times more...But I only went to lowes for the parts that people are never going to see...

Look into Accumulators becuase that will save your car from going lean when the initial shot hits...I went with a MSD 8969 for my window switch...

Your going to make some nice numbers...

I think all the purges are the same...I was just asking if you went with a purge or if you are going to purge through the motor...

Also dont forget that you need to run a blow-down tube to run at the track...Well at least here you do...

From what I was told it was any car running nitrous...There is a place in the truck with a rubber gromet that is just perfect for it...

Yeah you might want to check with local tracks to see if you have to run a blow down tube or not...I am running one...The adapter and tube cost me around $40 together...

Blow-down is required at our track as well. I would bet it is a NHRA/IHRA requirement. They will find this when the tech you in and not let you run without it or make you disconnect the bottle. How did you mount your bottle 03 R?

Chris - Would you point out where the rubber grommet is located in the trunk for your blow-down tube? I haven't looked but it would be info to have. Also, pics of your install would be nice.

Sorry to whore your thread 03 R.

On the bottle I pulled the carpet back and had to make about a hundred trips from the trunk to underneath the car to be sure I wasn't going to hit the fuel tank or any lines underneath the car, then I left the screw wtuds sticking up a little bit and laid the carpet back down and felt fot them and then cut small x's on top of them and pushed the carpet down around them. Then one by one I pulled the studs out and put the bottle brackets in place and rant the screws back through. Took a lot of trials to get it into the right spot for everything to work out.
