Is an 03 the TT 2.7L?

If it is then you'll win if you can launch decent. Watch their launches, the AWD makes for a quick get up and go.

i looked and i dont think any of the a4 models get lower than 15.0 in the quarter.

A4's are pigs. The have decent AWD and decent handling. But they got crap for acceleration. I hate how fast everyone thinks Audi's are. THEY ARE AWD. They only get 75% of the power from the engine to the ground. 340hp x .75 = 255 to the wheels. And a stock GT is at what 260 * .875 = 227.5 25hp differance. Thats something, but its not huge, especially when you figure the S4 has a6 speed that sucks for Drag. Thats the S4. Not an A4. Anyone in an A4 who thinks they have a race car should be dragged into the street and shot for being a brain dead a$$ clown.

when you say he is stock, how do you know for sure? They can be beefed up pretty easy. And is this an A4 or an S4? If its just a run of the mill A4 stock, you will stomp it. If its a chipped 1.8t then it could give you a run for your money. I used to walk mustangs all the time in my old golf.

err edit...if he's a good driver, even stock he's gonna make it close. didn't look at your setup before i posted that

Your numbers are skewed towards a manual. Manual is around a 13% drive train loss and auto is closer to 20% loss. Quattro audi's are typically around 22% loss if manual. A4's arent race cars???? thats news to me and to Audi. I will agree that they are not DRAG cars, but theres more than just drag racing.

a audi A4 with a chip beating a GT lol thats a joke, honestly, the A4 sucks, and if you just had a VR6 or someother type of gulf that wasnt the R34, you prob took non PI gt's or PI ones that didnt know how to drive , but i doubt you beat that many PI gt's with kids that knew how to drive without some mods, the S4 isnt bad at all, but we walked one in my friends WS6, and i would imagine i could do the same in my mach

GT > A4 thats pretty much the end of the story, theres not much to debate

my golf was a basic bolt on 1.8t, beat plenty of mustangs with it.

when i had my R32 (not r34) never really raced mustangs.

Just a chip brings the 1.8t FWD A4 up to 235hp/275lb-ft Weight on both cars are about the same. Keep in mind the person asking the question is driving an auto gt. It will be a close race if the Audi is chipped
