electronic water pumps?

i understand that a electric water pump will free up 20+ hp. is this accurate? is this practical in a street car, weekend warrior, sometimes daily driver, or is this mod practical for race only?

It's more like 10-15 rwhp. I've been running a Meizere electric water pump on my daily driver for over 8,000 without any problem. I actually think it keeps the motor at a more constant tempature than the stock water pump. The tuner that installed it said that he has installed several of them and that they do very well on a daily driver.

mmff did one and it gained 16rwhp i think at peak but had good gains through the whole curve, i want one but i'll probly just do udp's, they're a lot cheaper, i dont think you can do both
