Is this right? Gear install


I got a quote of 7 hours to install gears in my 00 gt, myself providing the gears. Is that about right? thanks for any input guys! MM

7 hours is a long time to put gears in. my guy did it in less than 3 and we were BS'in the whole time.

True, thanks for the TRUTH. they charge 80/hour x 7 ==$560 and they said thats not including lube and gaskets. Gues i will find a local gear head who wants to make some cash working in my warm garage. Appreciate the help guys !! MM

yeah... 2 shops tried to pull that bs on me. One quoted me at 525 and another for 600!!! the best around here is 400... so thats where i'm doin it.

im getting mine put in.... itll be about 150.

if i remember right thats what the dealer backcharged my warranty about 7 hours. but it was a rebuild too. new seals and bearings throught.
