drag radial sizing

alright so im going with drag radials and decided on the nitto 555rs for the rear. now ill be getting 18x10 inch wheels for the rear and ive been informed numerous times that a 285 or 295 for a 10 inch wide rim is a good fit (im not concerned with the tire height yet). although id like to preferable run a 295 although i cant find that width. should i go ahead and go for a 305 in the back? would this be safe with a drag radial? would this affect performance?

sorry for the novel. thanks guys

so i would be fine with a 305 drag radial on a 10 inch wide wheel? no problems cornering or going 100+?

nope...none at alll...there are a few people who have squeezed on 335's but thats pushin it imo...305 will be a perfect fit...and just make sure you monitor your tire pressure for high speed driving
