Automatic Shift Points 2002 Mustang GT

Greetingss,
I bought a 2002 Mustang GT auto recently and I've put on a CAI and Magnaflow catback. My first time I pounded the car from a stop i watched the tach to see my shift points. My 1 to 2 shift came at almost 6500 rpm which seems high. What are the factory shift Points?
Thanks !
Ken

we;; that was insightful chris. lol. should be shifting it right at the red line, unless the previous owner adjusted the shift points to go right there. did the car come with a handheld tuner

Mine shifted at 6500 to, mine was due to a hand held tuner that had a corrupted file. Stock, my auto shfts at 5800 all the time. Your car might have a tune in it and the settings for the shift points are set to high.

6500 is excessive unless you've got cams / heads. 5800ish would be better for acceleration.

I just put the same modes on my 2000 auto GT CAI and Magnaflow catback and mine also shifts around like 6,000 RPM also i've notice a decrease in low end power my engine feels real slugish (almost like their is no power) unitl you get into high rpm's like around 4,500 then it will pull real hard. Dont know whats up with so i'm taking it to a friend thats a mechanic.
