You are correct, it does turn on as a light test...but does not actually do anything with the actual built in test (BIT) of the car.

I'm going to replace the wires first... It's just one of the wires that are hanging across the piping... I aint worried about doing the wires, I can do that,

We finger tightened the plugs, then we torqued em... the anti seize helped them go in MUCH smoother...

Mine have probably been in and out about 50-60 times on this pair of heads. So, I'm sure the threads were just fatigued.

Already fixxed. It's not that bad. I found some long inserts (not helicoils) and threaded the holes all the way from top to bottom. They are probably twice as strong as the origional threads.

nice. Boomer makes all the threads longer on the all the heads he does.

No do you know if having longer threads means you can put the spark plug to far down in the cylinder?

Ummmm, yeah. I'm pretty anal about checking measurements. Anyway, I would suggest to anyone putting on a set of heads to go ahead and take care of the problem before it starts.

I just use a straight edge and a depth gauge to set the insert at the right depth. I place the insert onto the spark plug and use the plug to place the insert into the newly tapped threads. Next, I use the top of the plug for reference as to how far the insert needs to be seated. Having already coated the insert with loctite, I just leave everything alone until the next morning or evening and then pull the plug out and flare the top of the insert in order to properly seat the locks.

I was actually asking about the actual spark plugs in the heads. Like can you put the plugs to far in the cylinder that you may smash the tip or anything.

I guess you could, but you would have to fuck something else up in the first place. That's why it's important to make sure the inserts are locked into place before you screw in the plugs and start running the motor again.
