is this true?


alright so i was talking to some mechanic today that is apparently all about fords. i told him i might be looking for a 4v motor and he tells me that i dont want that because they are shit and they break all the time when you start modding them and just telling me all this shit about how i dont want a 4v motor? wtf? my immediate thoughts were...this guy doesent know what hes talking about. but i just figured id as you guys what the deal is

well i know people that say mustangs are shit, i dont think they are or i wouldnt be on here. Just do some research and see what you think. i have never heard anyone complain.

ive heard that that 99 and 01 cobra 4v internals aren't as strong as the 03-04 4v because they just have a forged crank and the terminators have other forged internals or something? idk?

if you like your 2v motor youll love the 4v. it responds to mods much better

Potentially they can since they have much more power if you have a power adder and dont upgrade internals you blow up the motor much easier than a 2v. The 4v will have greater power over the 2v... since he was talking about after modding the 4v has failures.

But as matt said, nothing different... forge the internals get some good springs and valves on the heads and your good to go... from my limited knowledge anyways..

the VE of the actually allows the 3v and 4v to hold more power with same internals. they can hold better power and make more power, but there is always a breaking point.
