Haynes Repair Manual says 6.6 pints (2pints=quart) so about 3 and a half quarts (just buy the four quart bottle)
I have a t45 and just changed the tranny fluid about a month ago Last edited by '00blk2v; February 29th, 2008 at 03:16 PM. |

I used Mercon automatic transmission fluid. Had a little left over in the 4 qt bottle. My brother-in-law questioned using automatic transmission fluid in a manual, but that's what the Hayne's and original car manual had written.
(It also states Mercon V fluid is not interchangeable with regular Mercon fluid) Last edited by '00blk2v; February 29th, 2008 at 04:26 PM. |

I did my clutch a couple of weekends ago, it took just under 3 1/2 quarts to fill it back up.

Is amsoil the best option? Do we need friction additives or is that only for rear end?
