I have the Steeda Tri ax and love it. Many people like the MGW and Hurst makes a good short throw as well. The best thing to do is to try out some buddy's shifters and see which one you like the best.

Midpipes are like catbacks. They will all pick up some hp but sound different depending on what you mate them with. Bassani, Magnaflow, SLP all make excellent catted x pipes. MRT makes a nice, albeit expensive catted h pipe. You can even get a catted prochamber. Again, the best thing to do is to go to a car show, club gathering, race track and listen to the different combos and decide which one you like the best. I had a Bassani catted x with my Borla Stingers and it sounded awesome. http://www.mustangexhaust.com/ is a great resource for picking out combos.

H pipe is going to sound deeper than an x. The h is generally thought to sound better with a chambered muffler catback. x pipe for flow-through muffs such as Borla Stingers, SLP LM1, and Maggie Magnapaks.

MAC long tubes (ceramic), MAC prochamber, and some flowmasters will make it sound nice, and give it some extra hp.
