Removing stock cat back

I know this is a really stupid question but do I need to cut my stock cat-back to clear the differential? Any tips on doing it? I'm stuck.

I tried to find another thread but couldn't. My Pypes come tommorow, just trying to get them out. Thanks for the help in advance.

i did... if you can use a lift or jack your car up somewhere other than the rear end.. such as the pinch frame or sub frame connectors i think you can get it out without cutting it.. not sure though.. i know you can with a lift...

when I was running my open midpipe set up I couldnt get the stock catback over the rear axle. I ended up bolting one side of the flange thing so the pipes were offset.

Im sure you can slip it around the axle with some work and maybe a lift, but I couldnt get it while just on jacks.

I think cutting would be the easiest thing for ya, but I would try my best to get it over the axle

the problem with cutting it is that if you ever do put it back on its not gonna be so easy as just throw a clamp on there i promise... i just put my pipes back on and had to cut, bend, and weld in some new pipe to get it back on... it wasnt all that easy and i had a lift...

i cut mine right before it goes over the rear axle that way if i did need to put it back on i would have something to work with and it would come back over the axle and i wouldnt have to bend pipe to go over the axle...

I had to cut my stock off, no way to remove the entire pipe from the midpipe back on the GT's. Just cut it right behind the muffler, nice 2 pieces and you dont have them falling down as soon as you make the cut, Just dont damage the rubber holders.

haha I used a air powered side cutter, my buddy forget his sawzall. Got like 80% of the pipe cut the rest by hand with the old trusty hacksaw.
