I barely have any first gear with my 3:73's, screw 4:10's unless I was runnin a 6spd. And to answer the other question above, yes Procharger has the bypass valve that makes the noise. They make damn good power too!

somebody told me that 4.10s arent good for GTs bc they only rev to like 5700-5800. is that true? would 4.10s be better for a 4v than our 2vs or is it just personal preference?

My bad Sweet, i forgot they are both a 1:1 fourth, but do you think that the other geras before had may take longer to go through? Like first wineds out slower as does 2nd and third?

its all in the tune. N/A i pull hard to 6100, n2o tune starts falling on its face around 5500-5800.

Every "problem" you guys mention about the 4.10's is traction related or driver related. running 3.73's is just a bandaid for a poorly set-up suspension , poor tires or driver failure. Some of you may know mdvaldosta, he learned from me the value or running 4.10's at the track. His times were improved greatly after changing put his 3.73's for 4.10's after my suggestion.

its driver preference. traction related? not if i am hooking and pulling the left front off the ground launching and going to 2nd. running out of the power in the top of gears is not traction issue. my car loves to rev on my n/a tune, runs out of putt putt on my nitrous tune even on the bottle in the higher rpm's. if you were to come down and jump in my car with 4.10's, i gaurantee you, i will stait out run you with my 3.73's. just because you think the 4.10's is the best or is great for you doesnt mean its best for everyone or every application.

why would anyone want taller gears? especially in drag racing... unless in your case, which it looks like you spray like stray cat... your out of gear by the time you hit the finish line

not arguing, just stating my opinion and preference on the subject. thanks for the compliment, but the car is faster than 12.1. i ran that with a busted 3/4 fork having to short shift in and out of third so it wouldnt get hung up between gears.

what works for some may not work for others. when some one comes in here and say that i would do better his way, thats how arguments start. recommendations, suggestion, ideas, etc is what most people lack when stating something, they just pop off and try to say how it needs to be done. in this case, its me, my car, i am faster this way, it fits my driving style, etc, not anyone elses.

If you're shifting "before the tree" as you stated , then you are either short shifting (driver error) or spinning ( traction related). It amazes me that you "know" you're faster with the 3.73's and you haven't even been to the track with them. That's ricer racing to the max

BTW, my car pulls 1.5 60's and doesn't pull the left front because it's set-up properly. That ain't hooking

Just a quick fact. Kenne Bell says that 3.73s are the best for quarter mile runs. .... just putting that out there.....

uh n,o i dont think so. not short shifting, not spining. ricer? ok buddy, there are ways to determine besides going to the track. just because you car dont pull the tire(s) doesnt mean that suspension isnt set up porperly. my car does, oh well. if pulling tires are bad, maybe someone better make a few calls to R/S, P/S, etc racers and let them in on the secret. there are a few guys on here that might want to be let in on that secret too.

you so set on 4.10's and thats fine, your are entitled to your opinion and i fully respect that. i am set on saying they were the worse thing i could of done and absolutely hate them. thats my opinion, respect that as i respect yours.
