18x9 right now i have 245-40-18 up front (which 245 is too small for the rim in my opinion) and i have 275-35-18 in the back

I really just want to know if a 275-40 will fit in the back, and if a 265-40-18 will fit up front

Yes they will both fit. There is only a 1/2 inch more side wall on the 275/40/18 vs the 275/35/18. And the 265/40/18 will be a bit shorter then the 275/40/18.
