Reverse

I have a 2000 GT 5 speed and sometimes when i put the shifter in reverse it goes in but it makes a grinding noise. Does anybody elses do that? what could the problem be???

Put your car into 1st for a quick second right before you put it in reverse.. all stangs do that... but you dont wanna do it alot bcuz it can messup your syncros..

alright sweet. i had been told it had to do with the synros but i wanted to double check.

It does have to do with the syncros... but dont worry nothings wrong with them... you just gotta clear out the gears b4 u put it in reverse or youll hear the grinding sound...
