Also when Im taking it easy and shifting at 2k rpms, its perfe tly fine....

any ideas on what this could be? Im thinking it could be a busted synchro or maybe clutch...

Also I have 53800 miles on my car if that helps
I have been looking to buy a mustang gt for 3 monthes now, this shit makes me think about buying something else...

why do you say that? no matter what you are driving, you can make mistakes that have adverse effects on the vehicle.

I understand that. But out of every vehicle I have been looking to buy, the gt's seem to have the highest percentage of expensive repairs, that being the transmission. I don't know, still thinking about it.

well i went today to let my mechanic drive it. when he was driving it it wasnt doing it... WTF!?!?! but he wasnt shifting smoothly 2nd - 3rd which I can understand because its not his car...

Well I got in the driver seat and showed him. I even sat the clutch down and said 'look' then went to shift and it grinded. He said that its the synchro.

he told me to just go to the parts part of the dealership and get motorcraft atf mercon and throw it in there and see if that helps for a little bit. I also told him that I will take the tranny out and just let him get to it and Ill replace my clutch at my house while he rebuilds the tranny

I just hope he can have this done before April 11th...

Same thing happened to me except it was second gear after 2 months of owning it with 30,000 on the clock... im glad i bought a extended warrenty because the new rebuilt tranny was like 3 grand! Then the f'ed up part a month later the third gear went bad on the new rebuuilt one...b.s!! This time i guess they put some better aftermaket synchros in and no problems yet. Knock on wood!!
