Mongoose kit ??

2 questions. If i buy the vortech mongoose kit, do i still need to get a dyno tune? and why? The kit comes with a X-Cal-2 Flasher. Whats the xcal2 flasher for anyways? Im sorry about this questions, but im kind of new to the FI world.

tim puts a blower tune on the xcal2 for u, u just tell him what mods u already have...so u dont really need a dyno tune but if u want to squeeze some extra hp out of it then u can...the tune he sent me was really safe and is good for a dd...but ill prob eventually get a dyno tune after i get my front mount and anderson power pipe

yes you still need a dyno tune.

ALWAYS get a dyno tune if you supercharge your car.

The Xcal is a tuning device to change the parameters of your tune for optimum performance and safety.

yea my peak a/f ratio is mid to high 11's depending on the temps outside

what would it cost to get the car dyno tuned with the mongoose kit on?

depends greatly on where u live...but its usually around 500 around here but thats without the xcal2..if u already have one minus about the cost of one

depends on where you are from honestly.

look around your local dyno tuning shops.
it's a few hundred dollars.
