They might have a hard time keeping up the supply of these seeing as the demand will prolly be insane...

Yeah that is what I am worried about...

At first I was hearing $550 - $650 for the MSRP...But it seems to be creaping ever so much higher...

I think the 800 is a fair msrp compared to others but just wished it would be cheaper haha. I think they just researched the price of others and figured to price it accordingly. There is no reason for them to price it half of what other manifolds cost if they can get more for it because 800 is still lower then any other one. Hopefully there wont be any problems right off the bat with the first models because I would like to get one asap. early spring is right about when I am going to be doing all my motor mods so it would work out perfectly.

I am hoping to be one of the first of the public to have one...

I am going to do what I need to do to get one...

I will give the $800 if that is what they set them at...

I would like to get it ported before I put it on so that it will match my headwork...And I will prolly go ahead and get it set-up for direct port at the same time as well...

I guess the mods I did that did not perform, (exhaust, 75mmBBK TB/plenum and UDP's), have me sitting back until I see some results from actual mustang owners. MM&FF did such a nice test and write up on the Tyohoon or was it the Performance Products version, yeah I think that was it, that I wanted to get one until I read from Mustang guys who had the poor fit, leaks and no HP gains.
No doubt TF/Summit put out a quality product and I would not expext fitment or warranty issues to to be a problem. I would like to see the 20HP increase from say 1500 to 5500 and if not the HP in that range then 20lbs./ft. of torque filling in the gaps. We still have poor heads and the tech guy who emailed me the intake specs said heads were not likely. Something to do with the cam journals or something being difficult to machine in proper context/relationship with another part that required the heads to be machined in a temp controlled room that was kept from 68*-72*, an expensive proposition. Of course the small bore dictates small valve sizes though I did see a head with 1.84" and 1.45" valves and that intake is the largest I have seen but $2K for a set of heads is too much for me. However if anyone is going to have $1000. into the TF intake might as well save and get the heads as they should deliver more than 40HP. Time will tell. Mark

Well the heads on my new motor flow much much much better then stock...And with the custom cams and custom p&p job on my heads I think I could see some nice gains from the TF intake...Of coarse I would have the TF Intake P&P'ed to match the heads...

I dont know if people will see 20HP and 20TQ on a stock motor...With forced induction I coudl see it getting to that kind of a number...Maybe 15hp/20tw with some heavily worked heads and some nice cams...But I am not even 100% possitive on that...

Yep. No brainer for you Chris. Again MM&FF had a lot of nice things to say about performance products intake. I believe the peak HP increase was only a few but they claimed 23HP and 20lbs./ft. throughout most all of the midrange.
The TF tech I spoke to said 20HP but then used the compaeison of the 2001 Special Edition intake(Bullitt) as a comparison. Even when I balked at the price he again used the Bullit as comparison and said the costly additional parts like alternator, etc. would not be required.
When is that motor going into the car? I would love to see what headwrok and cams will do for it.Mark

The motor will be in the car once I get back from this deployment...So about another month or so before it will be going in...Dyno numbers will fallow...

TF - $800 (taking it high end)
Bullitt - $1300 (or so for all new stuff)

Same power...I will definately go with the TF...
