Valentine One is the best out there, from what I've heard and the research I've done online. I've actually never used a radar detector, but have been thinking about getting one.

Another question for this post... I'm in VA, where radar detectors are illegal (I miss Michigan). Anyone know of a good setup to have a radar detector with hidden sensors and a hidden display? I want to get a detector, but don't want to risk the ticket if it's seen in the car.

add...

Someone also told the cops can detect if you have a radar detector now, pull you over, and give you a ticket, even if you hide the radar detector. Any truth to that?

yeah the Valentine 1 is the best i've seen. i don't think a cop will pull you over for having one. but even the best radar don't protect against laser very well. but my boss has one and he says it has saved him dozens of times!!!
