28 x 10.5 MT Drags

I am currently running 26 x 10 x 15 MT drags at the track on my 04 Mach 1. I am looking at picking up a set of 28 x 10.5 x 15 drags and need to know if I am going to have clearance problems. I have my car lowered on H&R Supersports. On the street I run Nitto drag radials 275 40 17s. Anyone offer me any insight into this delema? I appreciate it.

Why would you run 28" tires? That's like going to numerically lower gears you know... and 26 x 10 tires should be more than enough to hold whatever power a street car can lay down. I launch at 6k RPM and cut 1.5x 60's on the same tire you're running.

Sorry, can't help you with the clearance issue though.

your gonna need to roll your fenders, but unless you have some heavy forced induction the 28's are going to slow you down.

Well crap. I don't want to roll the fenders. I wish I had weight jacker lowers so I could raise it up a bit. I do hear what you are saying and it makes sense. I am NA for the time being and don't want to go slower. I am already slow enough. lol
