Drag Radials..

What do most of you prefer when it comes to drag radials as far as driving on the tire everyday. Which hooks best on street and strip but also last decently long?

I loved my nitto's on my TA i put over 2500 miles on both sets with over 20 passes on each set.I cut 1.7x's on them pretty consistently.I never got a chance to try m/t with my old setup but i always heard the m/t's hooked better.

you get night an day difference between street tires and nitto DR, and a significant difference between Nitto DRs and bfg or mt. Nittos get around 1500 miles while the other drs are around 5000. So unless u NEED that extra bit of grip and wanna save some money get the Nittos, they also have a decent tread pattern if you get caught in the rain.

My M/T are acceptable in the rain. Drive smart like you always should be. Take the corners extra easy and don't rush yourself. 03 StangGuy is right though, Nitto are better for daily driving according to everyone here. (I hear they run small.)

If the road is damp, it's not bad. If there is standing water or heavy rain then it can become scary. I've driven them in some poor conditions and came out fine.

The tread life on my M/T looks new still with over 30 passes.

New Tires

Currently i have Federal SS 595's on the rear. They are completly gone and i need new tires BADLY. Should i stick with the 595's or is there any other performance tire out there thats good for daily driving and the occasional race Im kinda tight on cash right now so i dont want to be spending too much on tires.

I have 315/35/17 MT DR's. They have about 8k on them and they are getting down to the indicators. But they have been the best tire I have every owned. I have 148k on my car, and have been through a lot of different tires
