Kenne Bell On 2V?
Can you put a KENNE BELL twin screw on a 2v motor such as mine? or is it cheaper to go with centrifugal?

Hell yea dude, the KB is a very popular supercharger for the 2v. It's more costly than a centrifugal though. They're alittle less efficient than a centrifugal (making alittle less peak power), though they make a helluva lot of torque down low and are fun to drive.

are they easier to install...it would seem so given that tere are no tubes and it sits directly on top of the engine...and how much would one set me back?

its not gonna be quite as easy as a centrifugal setup, but still shouldnt be mush more complicated than pulling and replacing the intakes. i realise theres a lot more to it but just saying its something that a normal car guy could get away with

The tuning is the b*tch of the whole set-up...Tim can get you close with a mail-order...But I would recommend going down there and have Tim tune it...He tuned my friends 1.7 KB on his 2V and found alot of pwoer in the car and made it all kinds of safe...

The 1.7 was the first run for the 2V Mod Motors...The 2.4 and 2.6 are a new addition...THey now upgraded the 1.7 to the 2.1...But those guys that have the 1.7 and dont feel like taking their blower off and sending it off to KB with a sizeable check; they stick with the 1.7...

No...Not that easy...
The pulley just adjusts how many punds of boost they are going to have...The kenne Bell is a positive displacement blower...Which is where the 1.7, 2.1, 2.4, and 2.6 come into play...It is the size of the actual blower... Please correct me if I am wrong... |

a screwcharger on any engine that can turn it is extremely efficient. They have the capability of making very high boost levels at lower RPM. I love the kenne bells on a 2v or 4v in my opinion

on a 2v with a twin screw on the street, it feels like a big block car with all the tq. down low. a centri with some gear can keep up with it no problem. the procharger will make boost a little sooner than the vortech or paxton and is still cheaper than the KB.
