Rear Seat Removal?

Dumb question but here goes how do you remove the rear seat bottom?
I've got two plastic clips one on either side. I tried shoving a screwdriver in and prying up with no luck. Seems to be a small spring in there also.

I'm trying to lighten up my FATstang for the strip this weekend.

If I remember correctly, you just gotta pull up on the seat from the back, I think you may have to let the seat backs down ( fold towards the interior) a bit and wiggle everything around until they come out.

you can stick a screw driver right in the middle of the clip then push down on the seat right where the clip is. Thats how i removed mine plus a few others

Thanks white99stang I'll try your way. I don't want to destroy the locking mechanism just want to remove it for awhile. I figure if I take the passenger seat and rear seat out I may gain the .100 I'm looking for.
I'm on the virg of breakin into the 12's. n/a
