You should check out Auto-Motion(770-949-6662) on Bankhead Hwy, in Douglasville. I've used them alot in the past. Ask for Jimmy, and tell him Michael with the yellow Mustang sent ya. He's a good guy

Dang dude.. thats a good deal.. 200for all that.. is the clutch doin good now?

I went out today to a few shops that were open on saturdays, one said 445.. I wanted to flip out, l0l he said 445 to get the flywheel resurfaced, a new rear main seal (he said its good to do that when you get a new clutch) and the clutch kit install..
another guy said 350 for install.. or 500 and he'd buy the clutch and install it..

I dont know if its because im only 16 and they think I dont know better but I think those prices are high.. I still gotta call Higgins Ford Perf, and Auto Motion (stanglifemike recommended them)

I've dumped thousands at Higgins with my 98. Never again!! That had a great reputation in the past, been mentioned in a few Mustang mags. Seems like the more people I mention Higgins to have the same story as me. I'll tell ya more about them later, just stay away.

Sorry, but you don't know if they resurfaced your flywheel? That is something that should have been done unless you are replacing it. I won't even touch the rest of your list, partly because it is confusing, but that one should have been done, and I would ask if it was.

the oil filter attaches to a unit that bolts to the block... that units gasket was leaking oil. i bought the gasket from ford dealership. he put it on. The throwout bearing was making alot of noise. while changing the throwout bearing, it would only make sense to go ahead and put in the whole clutch kit. he also just checked the fluids and such and noticed that the water was nasty and needed to be flushed. he did that for me. Transmission is OK. it was never slipping. only a throwout bearing. That is why the fly wheel didnt need resurfacing.

Clutch kit = 120
gasket = 7
labor = 200

There is your list.
i wrote this up so even a 3rd grader could understand. You get it now?

Any time a clutch is replaced the flywheel should be resurfaced if not replaced. I really didn't need a rundown of what you had done because I really did not care. Was just rying to give you advice on something you obviously did not know. As far as the confusing comment I made, was more for the way you sounded like my 15 year old daughter trying to describe working on a car. I said I didn't want to say anything about it cause the main point of trying to help make sure you didn't get screwed was all that mattered. I suggest, since you don't like friendly advice, that you do research on what you are having done to your car by someone else before you get it done. That way you will know what they are supposed to be doing. Go ahead, you can continue to barrage me with the immature remarks, its sorta fun. 3rd grade, I wish, would have done alot of things different in the past 34 years......

well i dont do that kind of work and being that i elk hunt every year with the guy that owns the transmission shop, i think he will take care of me. its all good bro. i thought that i was pretty clear in the above posts. he asked how much and i told him plus what else i had done for that price. If it is standard for that to be done then he probably did. all i did was tell him where the oil leak was and he knew the rest about the throwout bearing and all. i trust the guy to take care of me fully. Its all good bro!

Then its probably all good, was just trying to make sure some back yard mech wasn't doing more harm the good. Probably done right since he's a friend.
