Throttle Body

I have an 02 gt....... would it be a problem to run a 75 mm bbk throttle body and a c and l plenum on a stock mass air flow? And also anyone have any opinions on a good intake mainfold.......i was looking at the typhoon intake manifold from professional products

none of that is going to help you that much unless you get a set of heads and cam that work with it. the 75MM t/b could actually rob power from you and dramatically decrease you power and torque curve. That depends on the diameter of the port on the plenum you are going to run.

But to answer your question, no it would not be a problem to run it on the stock MAF. But for my input, I think it would be a waste of money unless you are going to order a set of parts to work with it. Bigger is not always better when you are fealing with the induction system.

i say run a 70mm if you are going to do. the 75mm isnt going to do anything for you. i wouldnt worry about an intake either untill your putting out a shit ton of power and are blown. the stock PI intake is a very well setup piece. makes good power for what most people will do with their cars

I agree with drgnracin. Go with the 70mm. The 75mm is going to do you konw good until you make a ton of power and need that kind of air coming in.

I would go with a 70mm for N/A set-up with just bolt-ons...

Stay away from the typhoon...There is a thread out there that has a list of all the problems with it...Plain and simple it is junk...

I PUT A 75MM TB WITH A BBK PLENUM AND I LIKE IT. I PLAN ON BOOST SOON AND PLANNED EVERYTHING AROUND IT. C&L HAS A MAF POWERPIPE AND FILTER KIT AND YOU CAN CHOOSE TB SIZE AND GET A PLENUM AND HAVE THEIR FULL SET UP. INTAKES ARE NOT AN ISSUE WITH THESE CARS AS FAR AS PERFORMANCE IS CONCERNED. ALL AFTERMARKET INTAKES ARE NOT DOING MUCH FOR N/A 2V CARS.

A 75mm wont hurt it but it also wont help a N/A motor anymore then a 70mm would...

Now since you are going FI then a 75 is a good deal...

I wnet with 75mm becuase a 70mm will not be good for the power my car makes...
