Rear brake moan?
Hey guys,
I'm new here and have not made many posts but I have been reading alot. Lots of good info on this forum! I have a 02 GT with the Baer 13inch Eradispeed rear rotors and hawk pads (as well as the front Baer Track kit) and I am getting a groan/moan from the rear end. It is not during braking. It happens after the brakes have been warmed up and I have been driving the car in stop and go traffic. When I accelerate slowly after a stop or near stop I hear this noise. It disappears quickly. I was thinking it is a rear caliper sticking that eventually releases. Any ideas? Thanks! |

That sounds likely. If the pads are really new the pad to rotor clearance would be tight. When the rotors heated up they might expand enough to touch the pads. It might go away after the pads wear down some.

Thanks. That's what I am hoping it is! Going to jack it up and spin the wheel to see if it spins freely after I drive it for a while and heat the brakes up.
