does a ds make that big of a difference or do the pulleys just make that much less of a difference

Umm kinda both. The DS is helping with parastic loss more than the pulleys will. Ultimatly I would get em both and the Stewart components water pump. That is the best combo for freeing up HP.

On the other hand if you got the pulley's and the Pump you would gain as much as the DS for about the same price or a little more.

I have all 3 and it made a huge difference. These are 3 undisputable mods, that work.

Ford Mustang 4.6 High Performance Water Pump, Mid 2001 - 2004: Stewart Components, Inc.

Is this what you are referring to? If so how easy is the install?

Yea thats it. It was a damn nice top end gain on my Mach. The UDP's compliment the pump very nicely. But if you are going with a blower just get the pump. It says it draws 3hp from the motor but that is at 6k rpm so you do the math for anything below 6k, and it equals a very nice mod for the money.
