Need a helmet for the track Sugestions?

Well the last couple of times ive gone to the track ive been able to run without one but they have now made it mandatory for all street cars to require a helmet to run. Im not going to argue, it is a good idea and i do need one.

Whats a good helmet to buy and where at?

you can usually use a dirtbike helmet. thats what i use but some tracks dont allow that.

but normally as long as its snell 2000+ your alright

just go to performance unlimited in norfolk and go buy a race helmet. All these guys saying just use a walmart helmet or a cheap dirt bike helmet are wrong. There is a reason they want you wear a helmet. I got mine for 95 bucks i think and its a full faced racing helmet, not motorcycle, dirt bike, or anything like that.

Isnt that in the same area as where Steen racing used to be?

Anything DOT or SNELL2000 is a good helmet. It's a helmet who cares what it looks like as long as it does it's job. If you have to be fussy, I have a $600 Arai dirtbike helmet, That has been custom painted by Color of Speed. It cost me another $200 for the paint but it's BA. Now it's scratched, banged, gouged and beat from riding MX for 3 seasons with it. I personally prefer Arai, Bell, Shoei, or Troy Lee Designs.
