Clutch squeak

Anyone got a suggestion as to why when i let my clutch pedal out, in the last inch or so i hear a squeak. Is the cable rubbing the liner or something. Also when the car is running the squeak is louder if that means anything?

Or maybe its my TO bearing?

I think it is going out becuase occasionly when she has been sitting for a while like over night, there is a constant squeking sound(totaly different squeak here) that goes away as sooon as i start to push the pedal in, but it always goes away after about five or so miles of driving , then it will comeback at a later date.

sounds to me like early signs of a bearing going...when that squeaking noise turns into a grinding noise, you will know for sure its a bearing going out.

Are you talking about the squeak that happens when i let the pedal out? Because it actually seems like i can kinda "feel" it grinding a little through the pedal.

you have to pull your trans far enough out to reach up in there and pull the old TOB off of the clutch fork and put the new one in

does it just slide off or is there a fastener of some kind holding it in the fork?

also little bit of advice here. the TOB need to be relubed even if it has its own lube. DO the reuse the old lube trick.

if your tob is going you may want to consider doing the clutch also if you never replaced it before...
