BFG KDW vs NITTO 555r...

as the title says, whats the difference? and before anyone starts, i know the 555r's are in the "drag Radial" category, BUT as we all know the tread compoud and pattern are nothing like any other dr. i have now driven a car with the 555r's and my car with the KDW's. I have heated up the tires in both cars and actually gotten out to feel how sticky the tires were...to my suprise at first both were the same...both cars launch the same and imo the KDW feel like they are more responsive anyone else experience this?

which do you have the BFG Gforce KDW2's or just the old pattern KDW... the KDW2's have kind of a crazy looking pattern, very unique.

Last months Fast fords and modified mustangs magazine(i think thats what its called) has a little article on the BFG and the Nitto's. They said the BFG's hook better i think. I read it a couple weeks ago so forgive me if im wrong. But go to the store and read it. its very short. its under the Top 10 mods for under 500 dollars section.

I just bought 4 255/45/18 KDW's. I'll let you know what they're like after they're on.

Had the old kdw's, just bought the kdw2's all around (for a little cheaper actually than the nittos). They look sick, they grip like crazy and I heard they last longer than the 555r's. Hope so cuz $1100 is hard to cough up!

The KDW2's are these ones, right: BFG KDW NT ?

Cuz that's what I just ordered. They're going on Monday.

Yup, and I love 'em. Mine were a little more cuz I have 275/40/18s in front and 295/40/18s out back, but well worth it.

That's great news to hear, man. Thanks. I researched and looked long and hard for something a little bigger that would work with my factory 18x8.5's, so it's good to hear from guys that actually have them on that they're worth the money.

Can't wait to get them on.

On the street? You won't be able to tell the difference. On the track the difference is huge between Nittos and real drag radials.
