Spark Plugs?

I have been having a weird problem with my car. It almost feels like turbo lag, but i have a supercharger. It just feels like im not getting power in the lower rpms. I have done several 3rd gear pulls from 3,000 up and feels very weird and slower than before. I have checked all my hoses and clamps and everything looks good. I also thought it might be the fuel filter or something along the lines of that. I also think my plugs might be fouled out. I am going to check today and see if they look bad or not. I want to know if I need to use a certain plug since im supercharged? I had NGKs in before the dyno tune and the plugs were fouled out then so the place I got it dynoed changed them and told me to use a different kind of NGK. I dont remember what kind they were but what is the difference in them. Also what gap should I use and should it be different for the supercharger?

i have a v1 as well....sometimes my car feels like a 13 second car n other times my head is glued to the seat and feels how a supercharged mustang should....i know some of the time its heat soak but other times ill pop the hood after a slow feeling run n touch the charge pipe n its still cold....but as far as plug gap, mine are set at .035, although some say they are getting spark blow out and reduce to about .028 ive never had a problem

Yeah I know what you mean about it felling slow at times and really fast at others, but it has just been the past few days that it was slow. Today it felt okay, but i dont know. Maybe its because the weather is warming up. Im still going to check the plugs

wouldnt hurt to check the plugs though...blower cars go through plugs about every 10,000 miles...ull be able to feel it when they're bad..it will break up pretty bad up top

interesting only 10,000 miles? I got my car dyno tuned in the winter. It was about 50 degrees outside. Im sure that has some effect on how my car is running now.

yeah i would think so...if u got it tuned to run safely at those temps then just imagine how rich it is going to run once it gets warm

so does it go lean in the winter if you get it dynoed in the summer?

It can, but most tunes aren't on the ragged edge so that cold weather won't lead to detonation. Sometimes aggressive tunes usually come with another 'winter' tune with some timing pulled. As for plugs, I run NGK-BR7EF and they do well, some folk like TR6 plugs instead... depends on boost really.

Any MAF based car should not change the AF based on the temps or when it was tuned. There are some old school tuners that tune incorrectly that will cause these issues, but most tuners know better. I like the TR6s.

+1 on the TR6 plugs.
High intake air temps will cause this sensation. Usually felt after long drives and then coming to a stop (idle). Prolonged stop and go traffic as well. I run an intake air temp sensor/gauge and notice the loss of power at lower RPMs when the inlet temps rise.

Well here in TN the weather cooled down to about 50 or 60 today and my car still had the lag feel to it. So I dont think its the temperature from the tune. I bought the TR6 plugs, but havent put them on yet. I was wondering if it could be anything other than plugs. It seems to do it mostly or only in 3rd and 4th gear. The lower gears seem fine, but that might be because I go through them so quick with 4:10s

are you recirculating? if you are, if your running back to back it will get sluggish due to heat. if you just started your engine, its not hot enough to burn the fuel, i also agree on the tr6's to .030 to .035. i change mine every 25000 or so and i havent had any problems at all. if all of your problems are down low, id say your too rich.
