Focus SVT Pump...
I think i just read that the Focus SVT pump comes from the dealership. True? Working at a body shop, we get a GREAT discount from dealerships. I was told to get this pump seeing that im supercharging my 00 GT with a p1sc and intercooler w sct 2600 maf and 42lb inj. and a tune. This pump will be enough wont it???

yeah...thats what im running...it will support as much or more power than ur stock block will be able to handle

hasnt been dynoed as of yet...im waiting to get a front mount and an anderson power pipe before she gets tuned...right now i just have a canned tune from modular powerhouse....but that pump will be fine at 420....ive seen cars with slightly upwards of 450 with that pump

why do some peeps have problems when at top speeds. Ive read a couple stories of motors blowing while running the car at top end and i think some said it was because the motor wasnt getting enough fuel. this is what i was wondering about. how much was that canned tune you got?

I am running that pump and dont get enough fuel at the top end. you can feel when it starts to go lean. I just let off at that point. its at about the 5000 mark in 4th gear. I am buying a kenne bell boost a pump in hopes it will fix the problem.

Agreed. This pump is not good enough at top end. I have my boost a pump set at 40% to make the pump not peg anymore.

yeah its weird...numbers are all over the place...ill have to keep an eye on my wideband while winding out fourth...ive never heard of them going lean up there n ive never taken notice

How do you know how much % to run on the boost pump. cant you just run it all the way or could that hurt the pump?

I used my xcal to datalog and you can tell when the fuel pump pegs. My fuel pump gets up to about 92% when I set the bap at 40%.

I run my BAP wide open all the time never had no issues.

you should not run a blower car up to top end anyways dude unless its tuned for it. Your car is tuned for the load it makes in 4th gear, so when in fifth gear there is more load so in a top speed run its going to go lean because of the load on the motor. If you get the car tuned they will have to add more fuel and drop timing if they know that your going to try to drive 145+

I've seen focus pumps peg at just over 400hp WITH a bap. The cobra (termi) tank and pumps is the best way to go for mild setups. Every time i have a customer with a focus i tell them it will peg and they say, "so and so on the internet hit XX hp with one" But then it always pegs and they have to add a bap, or new pumps. The focus pumps only flow slightly more than the stock pumps. Might as well add the GT (supercar) pump. They flow way more and cost less.
Note that this graph is TWIN focus pumps.

a single gt pump flows slightly less than the stock twin cobra pumps,I would put in the single gt pump

I run a P1SC...9 lbs of boost, 3 row intercooler and the Focus pump. I also drilled a few holes at the base of the plastic basket that houses the fuel pump. I dynoed out a 386 HP and have never had a fuel lean problem at high RPMs after my tune. We also set it a little on the rich side for added protection. I have experienced a miled lean condition when the fuel level is low at high RPMs. Thus the reason I drilled the holes in the basket.
