'03 Saleen

I happened to come across a '03 saleen at the dealership this past weekend, I didnt get a chance to look at the miles or anything but the sticker price was 22k (which i think its a good deal) and the body was free of any dents or anything like that. so heres my question, I know nothing about the older saleens can any1 help me out?? do they have the 03-04 cobra motors??

i do not think so. i think they came in like a few different models. not stages though. but i THINK they have the same as the gt. SOHC 2v. and liek the second upgrade was maybe supercharged 281 2v sohc. this is a guess . i googled but i cant find any info to back anything up.

well this doesnt tell a whole lot but

2003 Saleen S281-E - Automobile Magazine

aparently there is a s281 which is a 4.6 2v motor. and the s281-e is supercharged and intercooled to 425hp. now i know there is a supercharged one thats not putting out that much power but i dont know what its called..

looks like there is a s281, 250hp, s281/sc,at 375 i think and a s281-e with 475hp and intercooled

They are all 2v cars. There is the the low level S281 that is mainly suspension, exhaust. Then the S281 with the blower on it. Then the S281E that was the ultimate. It had center exhaust, and more power.

any ideas what the s281 and s281 sc run in the 1/4 mile stock? i think the s281-extreme runs 13 flat

i thought there was a limited number of "svt" saleens that came with the s/c 4v 4.6, but who knows, i'm probably wrong lol

i just got the same engine thats in the saleen, 01-02 365hp 03-34 375 < more agressive tune. All years are innercooled, the engine is the same as the engine in the GT.
