WOW those things have way more tread on them than I thought they did, every picture I have ever seen there is half as much, must be the lead foots driving them.

Stuff is typically more expensive up here in Canada. Particularly tires. I went to a couple of discount places, and the best price I got was 320 a tire. So I was contemplating buying them in Michigan, as I work right near the US border. They would have been about 200 a piece, but then I would have to worry about a customs official getting fussy about duty & taxes on my way back over.

So a couple weeks back I was on the phone to my service manager at the dealer making an appointment for some other warranty stuff, and I thought "What the hell, this will at least be good for a laugh. Let's ask if he can get BFG KDW's."

He told me he could get anything, and that they had the lowest prices around. Now, my service manager is a great guy, Known him 10 years. But I still thought "Yeah right. It's a dealer." lol

Well he called me back and told me I could have them for 245 a piece, installed. I about fell of the chair. lol

So I ordered those 4 you see here.

I just had to ask I know the dealer can be a SOB on prices but seems that you got a decent deal. Let me know how they work for you I am looking at getting some 275/40/18's

Yep it's true. They are usually the last place you would want to buy tires from. When I asked him why so cheap, he said they got tired of no one buying tires from them, and have a new policy of not being undersold on tires.

Sure enough, when I walked in there on Monday, they had signs all over about the new tire pricing. I still didn't believe he had gotten the actual tire I wanted until I took that pic up there^. lol
