the chip will be able to be updated anytime you get your car put back on the dyno.

A dyno shop needs either a chip or a handheld tuner to tune your car. The chip usually costs around $150 vs around $400 for a handheld tuner. I prefer to have the handheld, but thats just because i plan on doing my own tuning.

$650 is a bit high for a chip/tune...but if it is from a reputable shop, its worth every penny of it.

ummm.....not so sure thats a good deal. I live here in tx and theres a shop that will do a chip and a dyno tune combo for $350. that includes the chip and everything right out the door. its pretty respectable shop..xtremehorsepower or something like that. i can double check for you if you want. FYI, i bought my xcal3 for $380 and then another $150 for a dyno tune. look around bro, you might be able to get a better deal.

You should get a chip with more than one tune on it... Diablo or SCT both make great products.
