rotors and such

im in the middle of getting my rotors replaced i have already order 4 new oem rotors cause i see no need to upgrade until im pushing 300+ hp witch im not doing but after ordering that i asked to get bearings and races for all of them and the part man informed me that for my mustang (so im assuming 99-04) uses bearings and races in the back but for the front it uses something else (i have forgotten the name and cant find it no where online) but what im asking is i know when replacing rotors you should replace the bearings and races but is it necessary to replace whatever they are on the front axel cause at 62$ a pop its kinda of pricey and would like to save a few bucks

i don't see the point in replacing them. I haven't even replaced my front rotors yet lol. i think you will be fine without them.

well right now im wondering on either sending the rotors back or keeping them it would be cheaper just to get them turned but when i come to a hard break (witch isnt all the time) my stearing wheels jerks some and idk if it's cause my rotors are f$%^ed and turning will be pointless or if its the fact that the jack ass that sold me the car gave me a set of mitch match tires on i have 225/25r17 on the driver and 245/45r17 on the passenger (getting a set of new tires in like two weeks anyways)

yeah thats the tires causing that problem. i would just get your rotors turned if i were you. I have over 100k on my front rotors and they did good at stopping at the track going 125 lol. With shitty pads also lol.

In the front they use what is called a hub assembly FORD MUSTANG FRONT WHEEL BEARING HUB ASSEMBLY AT MONSTER AUTO PARTS
they are a sealed unit that only needs to be replaced when they go bad.

I have replaced my rotors but I didnt go as far as opening the hub assemb. ... I felt blessed that my rotors are the kind that ya dont have to do that kind of stuff!
When I DID replace em.. I didnt want to go back OEM cause the stock ones didnt fair too well (something bout cruising at 100 and STOMPING the brakes when I see that cop LOL). Them things stayed warped. I had peddel pulse for several thousand miles. Then I got my new rotors (Baer Decella drilled and slotted). I am somewhere between 15-20k miles on em and not even a HINT of pulse yet. I think those were a good investment for me!
