Summer's Near - Time to Detail

I just picked up an orbiter, meguiars deep crystal steps 1 & 2, and ordering rejex for the final coat.

What are you using to get the job done this year and how are you applying?

nice! my garage is under construction. were painting the whole thing and organizing stuff....

gotta polish to get all the old stuff off

then clay her up

i'm using a compound to buff with my makita.

polish with a polishing compound with my Ultimate detailing machine. (cant remember all the names of the products)

and using wolfgang sealant 5 times over.

wolfgang detailer spritz in between coats

finishing with a coat of pinnacle souveran wax.

as well as the other stuff like shampoo carpets and tire shine and wheel sealant from ZAINO

I like the deep crystal system(polish) also for a black car.tried lot's of things but alway's went back to it. I have had bad luck with those orbit polishers(random) leaves tiny swirl scratches that show up on black. always have used the old labor intensive way, hand.

yeah go to a professional detailer and make sure you know what is being done to your car. every place that the people i know went to, they screwed up theyre ride and made it look horrible. swirls, wax between doors, dirty engine bays, etc....or do it yourself

i detail cars on the side doing full interior and exterior details. buff polish seal wax shampoo, condition, engines, everything

I use Mothers clay bar and 3 stage wax system. This is one of the best in my opinion...
I'll try and get some pics soon.

haha yeah, ive done tons of peoples cars and they seem to trust me. but i totally understand how you feel. i wont let anyone touch my car

maybe someone local that does it out of their garage can help you out?

the guys that do it themselves professionally seem to do the best job out of anyone. i know from experience

true...very true

i claybar, high speed buff, wax, then polish, and if you seal it you do that before the wax

i would love to learn how to wet sand. it would make my black look so much better. but what do you mean by polish? when i detail i go wash, clay, wash, buff, polish, then seal and put your last product on. kuz if you polish with an orbital polisher after you wax, then all the wax and everything will just strip off and will be no good. ya know? but yeah i love detailing....

it gives you a chance to really spend time with your ride
