sway bar bushings (to frame) could cause a knocking sound..anything strut mount our ball joint related too..but the idea of just a changing a tire and then having front end noises is doubtful, and its late now so hopefully if some other members in this forum were correct your tire hasent fell off yet...try taking it to a reputable front end shop for diagnoses shouldnt cost a thing to check before putting all the blame on the other shop
