Just had a similar situation on my cobra, except broke the key trying to get one off. Had to go to a service shop and they had to use this special key remover that they hammer on and torque off. Call around and check the place to make sure thay can do it. It cost me 25$ to get the 4 lugs off the 4 tires. Or you could buy the specialty set to remove it, but it will probably cost more than 25$. Hope this helps!

I broke my key also and had to pay 10 a tire....and they also used a special socket and impact it off. if your brakes are really that bad do you have the time to wait for them to ship the key out your probably better off finding a shop monday morning

go to pep boys they can take them off for you at a price .

my local garage mech. took mine off for me for 5 bucks (was able to get 2 off easy, 1 i had a hard time with and the last one the key broke).

I then went and purchased better quality locking wheel locks from pep boys .

good luck .

Probably not this removal tool is an impact on tool, then they have to socket wrench it or impact wrench it. Don't wait if your brakes are bad!

Yeah, and invest in some good ones, most people buy the crappy ones because they are inexpensive. I just ordered some good ones from the dealership with 10% off. Until then 4 on each wheel will be fine.

In Virginia you can't be too sure. Both of my Cobras stay in the confines of the garage, safe and sound, until race day or work day or just to do some slithering. I don't usually lock up my house either except at night. I live in a pretty nice neighborhood, but even nice people do bad things or have bad things done to them.

My key broke once, I hade a frien who had a socket that you use with and impact gun, the one used to change tires and he took the locks off without a problem. The speacial socket has groves that dig into the lug nut and take it off

yeah you can, but I think it only comes in a set. Check on it and let me know, because if you can find one tell me where. Thanks.

I stripped the lugnut key as well as the lug. I used a shitty 19mm socket and pounded it on the lug and used the socket wrench to take it off.. the 19mm socket was garbage after that of coarse.
