you WILL need piston work for those cams to fit...they have to be notched (ptv issue)

just cause it says stage 3, doesnt mean it is the best for your application. drgnrcn72 (steven) talked me into getting comp 270s for my next setup...with those cams they will have to be degreed, but will work with stock pistions.

link isn't working, tried a few times...server might be having problems tonight.

Who cares if you lose bottom torque? thats what the supercharger is for But if you do buy blower grind cams, you really wont see all that much until you get the blower installed. Thats why i like the 270's, they are an inbetween for n/a and boosted.

Jim knows his stuff, so if he says that setup will work...it will work.

maybe I have forgot what my car was like with the pi cams, but I don't feel any loss of torque out of boost.,but I can't go wot at a lower rpm without going in boost. I will say at around 4500rpm's they start pulling noticably, way harder than the stock pi's under boost.

also I have no ptv issues with them, stock block and heads

I run those cams..but i dont reccomend any stage 2 or stage 3 cam without ported heads... If your heads are stock, get some stage 1 cams...unless you plan on some future upgrades... Better yet... just get cams and ported heads all together at once...its cheaper that way..

i really dont wannt port heads before i get the new motor. shit the heads will have to come off neway. but i think w/ poted heads and cams with a vortech will be to much power for my stock block

no i dont... I literally have almost everything but forced induction engine-wise..

But if you're asking that in regrads to the cams...My builder told me the cams are fine for Supercharged applications even n20 if i ever choose to go that route...Not so great for turbo..

In any case, i cant do any type of forced induction on the stock block without breaking it due to the mods i have now... Even with just cams you could be pushing it unless you run a low boost setting.. Now with a built shortblock...that's another story.. Im personally doing a forged 5.4 setup then turbo... Im just in the process of decision-making while still waiting on parts...

If you're really interested in blower cams, go wit some stage 1 or 2 blower cams if you intend on keeping the stock heads...Stage 3 is pushing it.. They wont be any better than 1 or 2 without supporting mods...

don't have a good tune on it yet(not fault of tuner)I was maxing out my stock pump and bap at 5300,just got the gt pump put in. so now my tuner, can work on adding timing. but at 9 deg it pulls harder on top than kb's 16deg. If they have a dyno day around here I may put it on,but have no plans. the butt-o-meter works for me
