Yup... from a dead stop you will get killed, unless you're modded up.

Rolling start is the way to go, from second I think.

IMHO a WRX is slow in stock form...Mid-pipe, UDP, CAI and a good driver will have no issue handing a WRX their arse...With gears it is game over for him...

And WRX's off the line are FWD...The AWD does not kick in till the front wheels spin and break traction...Then the rear wheels will kick in...Unless he has done the mod to make the rear wheels active at all times...

WRX's are weak sauce...

never heard that before. they are all the time awd. maybe its the toque bas but it should be awd all the time. most wrx and sti owners dont know how to launch and when they finally figure it out, it only last 2-3 times and then bpom goies the transfer case

I dont care for the WRX's to tell you the truth...

They really are not that good of track cars...

Autocross cars maybe...But at the drag strip they leave alot ot be desired...

They really start off in just FWD? I've never heard that before either, always heard that they were AWD, all the time. Is this info somewhere on the Internet, so I can bug my buddy about it? lol

No its just what I have seen at the track...

Once the front wheels spin the rearwheels dig in...There is a simple mod that you can do to make it all time though...I dont ahve any proof...I just know that is what I have seen at the track time and time again...

Here Is A Link ABout Them

They are not impressive drag cars...But from what I have heard on an auto-x coarse they work great...

The STI are nice and all...But if I had my choice it would be the EVO...The EVO IMHO is just a better all around car...

im not positive but i think on my brother in laws sti there is a knob that you can adjust the amount of power that is sent to the rear wheels and the front wheels. not sure exactly but i think i remember seeing that in the center console of his car

PUT A 3200 STALL and a full exhaust, CAI, 4:10 gears, and 75 wet shot!
Also after the mods get it tuned by a good tuner so the mods can actually work!!!!!! Don't just put that shit in there and expect it will be all good!! You have to get it tuned!!!

Some of those WRX guys are smart and when they get all their mods they get theirs tuned and it make a big freakn difference!!!

You will be fine! You can even beat the WRX from a dead stop!!!

Don't be a wuss!! BEAT THIS FREAK'N WRX!!!!

You are right, that knob is for the center differential bias. If set wrong it will act as a FWD or RWD, It's a tricky device. But is only available on the STi.
