mid pipe leak


I was about to get a mid pipe an h pipe but i seen alot of posts were they have problems with leaks on basicly all brands now this got me rethinking the idea of getting a mid pipe have any of u have any experiences like leaks etc on mid pipes

if it is installed rite it should not leak,,, and i have a couple installs and have never had a problem with them leaking
..its a good upgrade and will add a little more power and save you a little money in gass not to mention the way it will sound

won't have any problems if you install it right and you don't bottom it out on anything while traveling at a decent speed.

Mine never leaked...

As long as they are put on correctly you will have no issue...

yes they do leak. I have seen many of posts... most people dont put the gasket back on. These cars have an actual exhaust manifold to mid gasket on them. You can get them through ford, but i know SLP comes with it. I installed 2 slp mid pipes and i thought they were thought out well and sound nice. With stock catback even. One on a mach and on a bullitt..

haha, yeah. Some pipes dont come with it i guess. And then there are the people i tell them there is a gasket... and they say... Oh i was wondering where that went.

alot of the problems come from people using the stock studs on the drivers side manifold which cause alot of leaks. Make sure you pull those out and get some grade 8 bolts with nuts to put on that side. By the way have fun getting those out, have to heat them up pretty good

You should be able to get them in most auto parts stores I would think...

I use the stock studs and have no issues with mine...
