how much taller are 18in rims than 17 inch rims???


topic. and how much will i have to drop the the car to have it look good with 17in rims and not scrape the longtube headers?? like how far is a stock cobra drop??? those look nice with 17 inch rims

How much will the 18s raise your car ( assuming rim height only)

so a 1 inch drop to have the same stance???? oooo shit lol i get what u saying. so say if i have 315/35/17. i just need to get a 1 inch drop??? lol that was easy. i thought there was more to it

Thats because they either have a low profile or are stock height, usually with 17's you can go with a 2" drop and not scrape, 18's, i'd probably advise a 1-1.5 inch drop

i dont see where the 18's come in though, beacuse you just talk about 17's. and if youre downgrading from 18 to 17, then youre stupid.

And the amount you're gonna have to drop for 17s or 18s isn't so much based on the size of your wheel, it's gonna be based on the outer diameter of the tire you wrap aound that wheel. a (these are bs sizes, bear with me) 275/75/17 is gonna be way bigger than a 275/35/18.

I'd research "plus sizing". GRM had a great article on it an issue back or so. (though you may not like it, their results were that 18s are pretty much for looks only. 17s are king of performance.)
