stewart water pump installation
I have a question on the installation do I have to drain the radiator fluid and remove the electric fan shroud and the fan? Or can I just pop it off put some RTV on the new one and call it day? I have a hayne's manual but it's kind of fuzzy on that section of the install it keeps flip flopping between 3 engines. thanks!

Generic water pump installs usually require you to atleast drain the radiator . That can be accomplished pretty simply on your gt . On the passenger side of the radiator there is a plastic pet cock slowly turn it counterclockwise untill coolant starts to come out. As for the water pump installl . It is also quite simple , remove the belt , remove the water pump pulley (4 10mm bolts) then remove the 4 13mm bolts which hold the water pump to the block. I reccommend a new water pump o ring if yours did not come with one . Lubricate the new o ring with some wd40 that will help the install of your new pump . reinstall all your bolts and refill the coolant system . The whole job should take less than an hour . Chris
