This thread is really old but this write up is outstanding, and i just used it and my Haynes manual to do my clutch. it was awesome thank you for it. the Haynes gives you tchnical advantages like torque settings and fluid levels. some things i want to add for anyone else wanting to use this as a guide (this is out of order): Before taking off your flywheel, mark it to be sure you put it back on correctly (for externaly balanced engines like the 99): mark your driveshaft also before removing where it mates to the diff because it is balanced: Be sure to clean the flywheel and pressure plate with brake cleaner...its cheap so dont be light, be sure to remove the anti rust coating on the pressure plate. after cleaning them use rubber gloves for installation: do yourself a favor and dont use the usual swivel joint to access hard to reach bolts on the bell housing, buy a universal with ball bearings by snap on i believe. a usual swivel joint is really great at slipping off and rounding bolts.
If i can remember any later ill add to this. thanks again
