SCT XCAL3 tuning.

I recieved this and immediately hooked it up to the car. It turns on, and I link it to the car, it ask me if I want to load a custom tune or a pre-programmed tune. Since AM already tuned it, I choose to upload that tune. I hit select, and then I have to go through each one of the variables. Is this normal? I thought if it was pre-programmed it would simply begin downloading the only tune it has on it?

Also, what are your variables set at?

Mods include:
JLT CAI
MGW Shifter
MAC LT's
MAC O/R Prochamber
MAC Cat-Back
3.73's
Nitto DR's
Eibach Sportlines

and of course, the tuner now.

It will be the custom one you want. That will be the one from AM. Try that and see what it says.

Yeah, that's what I selected and it still made me go through the variables. I knew it wasn't already tuned because I supplied AM with the gear ratio and the tuner still had the stock ratio embedded.

Well that sux. All I know is with the x3 you only get 4 degrees of advance with the end user adjustments and that wasn't near enough for my car. If you don't know much about tuning or you want a good aggressive tune, you will have to get a custom one. Thats why I traded my X3 for the diablo I wanted to have more adjustability.
