Went To The Track Last Night!

1st run-14.6 fouled off the line...raced beforeaeonscame he beat me with a 14.3

2nd run- 24.4 lol...i forgot to take it outta first after my burnout and my rev limiter kicked in....

3rd run- 14.40

4th and final run 14.307- called it at night right there and was very pleased. i'm confident that with bit of practice and some pulleys i'll be hitting 13.70's. :award

Keep heading in that direction, more practice at the track means better times.

I have almost forgot to take off traction control which will also kill your times. Keep practicing and you will get those times down where you want them.

i went and raced last night and it was a pretty shitty perfirmance on my [art. my best was my first run right after i got there. it was a 13.18@107.98 and it just went downhill from there. my next one i missed 2nd gear (yeah how the F do you do that) and somehow hit the brakes a couple times while shifting. i didnt belive it untill i saw the video. well that run felt like a good run and the speedo indicated 115, but they didnt give us a time on that run. my last run was decent on the top end but i spn my ass off off of the line. i swear i hooked better with my crappy ass eagle f1 than i was on these nitto 555

02 gt CAI, custom off-road x-pipe, dynomax race bullits, SCT Xcal2 with custom tune by Runnin With The Devil, nitto extreme drag radials, fr500 rims 17x9 and 17x10.5, Richmond 4.10 rear
14.3 best et so far

Do you guys live in shitty conditions? I can hit a 14.0 on street tires in my NPI GT. Best et of a 13.8 with M/T Dr's. I have pretty much same bolt ons as you. Except 3.73 gears. I ran my buddys 2003 GT with SLP LM1's, CAI and Tuner into a 14.0. Just wondering what the climate and such is at youre track ??

hell yes we can!!! it was our first time taking our cars out with the new gears!!! we can most certainly break into the 13's....take into consideration that both of us had to drive a good 20-30 minutes just to get to the track so we were both running hot....neither one of us are like the best drag racers out there...i know i'm no John Force...with practice i KNOW we can hit 13.70's...the reason i KNOW this is cuz i've seen it done. and no we dont live in shitty climate. its hot but its hot everywhere and on thursday it was 71 degrees outside.

thats cool. Just wondering. The NPI's usually run 15.2's stock. Bunch of my buddys with them still run a 14.8-15.0 with bolt ons. I can do a n/a run of a 14.0. So with the same mods i say the same i think you should be hitting a 13.5-6 easily with youre pulleys too. I myself cant get enough of the track...its alot of fun and im glad you guys are hitting the track too and not the streets. Good job

Did you go to the midnights at Tulsa or was this at TV? You have to really bake the nittos (especially if they are new like yours). What were your 60' times? That is really surprising considering how well it was running on those worn out tires. I just completed my rear seat/passenger seat delete for Buick vs Ford. Hopefully, my differential will hold together, it is really starting to act up. Gonna pull the rear girdle off this week and try and check it out. Hope to see you out there on Saturday.
